4-H Equine & Livestock Science Camp is a hands-on, science-focused residential camp for 4-H members who are enrolled in an animal science project and who were between the ages of 13 and 18 as of January 1, 2016. Screened 4-H volunteers or Extension staff are welcome to register as chaperones for this event, as workshop content will be of interest to adults as well as youth.
4-H Horse Camp is designed to give the beginner and the experienced equestrian a chance to learn by doing. Participants will have two small-group-instruction riding sessions per day. There will be horse science clinics/demonstrations, horse games, plus work on horsemanship skills.
4-H members enrolled in textile science projects are invited to participate in the Capital Region 4-H Fashion & Textile Revue. Guests are invited to attend free of charge. A short program will be offered for guests to attend while participants complete the afternoon workshops. Note that the Textile Revue is new in 2016!
4-H Camp Shehaqua is a five-day camping experience that will provide youth with the opportunity to learn about nature, meet new friends, gain responsibility, and learn to live and work with others while having fun. Workshops offered during the week include nature, recreation, crafts, and archery. Other activities include campfires, hikes, skits, a ropes challenge course, swimming, and even a day at the beach. Camp Shehaqua is a 4-H overnight camp located in Hickory Run State Park, White Haven, Pennsylvania.

4-H State Achievement Days is an educational three-day program for 4-H members (ages 13-18), sponsored each year by Penn State Extension. This annual event is held to demonstrate achievement of 4-H members and provide recognition of their accomplishments in competitive as well as non-competitive events.
Held during Ag Progress Days, teams of four will compete in a series of head-to-head elimination matches. Teams will be asked questions and awarded for correct answers. There are two age divisions - junior (ages 8-12) and senior (13-18). Any youth with equine interest can participate.
