Get to know WCU intern Sarah Georgini
My name is Sarah Georgini. I am a junior at West Chester University with a major in Geographic Information Systems, specializing in Environmental Management and Planning. I’m due to graduate in May of 2013. I am interning under the supervision of Dr. Gary Coutu under the WCU Department of Geography and Planning, and with Laurie Szoke through Penn State Chester County Extension. I’ve been working with Penn State Extension Chester County 4-H through a National Science Foundation grant since March 2011. I’ve made much progress by working with underprivileged youth, by creating, and implementing science and technology curriculum that sparks their curiosity. I understand the importance of providing a support system, and leading a good example for our youth. I work to make a difference by encouraging them to make a difference; they hold our Earth’s future in their hands. It is my goal to empower youth through the wonders and possibilities of science and technology. Everyone can make a difference!
