2015 FACE Youth Conference
April 1, 2015FACE is a week-long youth conference for high school students, June 15-19, 2015, that teaches students the importance of Farm Bureau’s grass-roots legislative process by allowing them to experience it firsthand. Students at the conference will be a part of collaborative workshops, presentations made by individuals from the agriculture industry, and other fun activities! Cost?...Each participant is sponsored by his or her county Farm Bureau. Application deadline: May 1, 2015
Everybody Walk Across PA
March 24, 2015Penn State Extension is offering a new and fun educational event across the state for youth and families. Gather your family or club members to form a team of up to five. Team members will try to average ten miles per week. Everyone will receive weekly e-mail updates on the progress as they virtually visit the natural beauty of Pennsylvania State Parks. The program will run March 30th through May 24th. Registration is required by March 29, 2015.
PA 4-H Wildlife and Forestry Field Day
February 3, 2015Come Learn About Pennsylvania's Forests and Wildlife! The PA 4-H Wildlife & Forestry Educational Field Day is a state level experience for all 4-H youth. It is slated this year for April 25, 2015, and will take place in Rock Springs, PA (at The Ag Progress Days Site), 12 miles south of State College, PA. Sign-up deadline is April 20, 2015.
Centre and Clinton County Youth Livestock Day
February 3, 2015The Centre and Clinton County 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters have teamed up this year to offer our first annual Youth Livestock Day to be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Register today! Workshops will include the Quality Animal Management Training (formally known as GPP) and many other fun and interactive ways to gain knowledge about your species!
Registration is Open for 4-H Equine and Livestock Science Camps
January 23, 20154-H Equine and Livestock Science Camps, May 29-31, 2015, are open to 4-H’ers ages 13-18 who are enrolled in a horse, horseless, livestock, or vet science project. Camp workshops will focus on science and will be hands-on. Registration is open and the camps are expected to fill quickly. Register Early!

Deborah Dietrich Awarded the 25 Years of Service Award at the 2014 National Association of Extension 4-H Agents' Banquet
March 27, 2015Deborah Dietrich was recognized at the 2014 National Association of Extension 4-H Agents' awards banquet during the NAE4-HA Conference this past October. Deborah was awarded for her outstanding efforts with Penn State Extension 4-H Programming. The 25 Years of Service Award is given to 4-H educators with 25 or more years of service.
Cameron Suorsa Chosen for 2015 National 4-H Congress Design Team
March 17, 2015Cameron Suorsa, Butler County 4-H member, was chosen as one of eight members of the National 4-H Congress Design Team. The Design Team is in charge of planning the program which is a prestigious national 4-H event.
Carol Schurman Awarded the Excellence in Camping Award
March 12, 2015Carol Schurman was recognized at the 2014 National Association of Extension 4-H Agents' awards banquet during the 2014 NAE4-HA Conference this past October. Carol was awarded for her outstanding efforts with Penn State Extension 4-H Programming. The Excellence in Camping Award is given each year to recognize outstanding effort in youth development through 4-H camping, practice, evaluation, and research.
