4-H Camp Conquest

4-H Camp Conquest
All youth 8-13 (you must be eight years old as of 1/1/13) are eligible to attend the five-day camp experience on June 17-21, at 4-H Camp Conquest, Denver, Pennsylvania. Camping provides everyone with a chance to learn about nature, meet new friends, gain responsibility, and learn to live and work with others. 

Cost:
The total cost for camp is $275 for 4-H member or $285 for non 4-H member, which includes all meals, lodging, for the five days. Partial scholarships may be available to those in financial need. To apply for a scholarship, please enclose a letter with your registration explaining your financial need. The amount of scholarship will depend on the amount of requests.
Transportation:
New this year, Parents will transport their children directly to and from camp. Directions will be sent to those who register.
Housing:
We will enjoy modern bunk houses and bathrooms. We have indoor/outdoor sports areas and a nature center.
Staff:
The camp is directed by Jessica Smith, 4-H Program Assistant. Along with several 4-H screened volunteers and 4-H teen counselors who have have gone through training and are familiar with our camping program will supervise the camp. We have a resident nurse and a lifeguard at the camp as well. For the daily activities, trained 4-H members that are 14 -18 years old, serve as camp counselors who teach crafts, nature, recreation, and other activities to the campers. Certified camp staff will supervise the ropes, archery and riflery courses.

Activities:
Our program consists of group recreation, nature and craft workshops, a ropes challenge course, and socialization activity groups. Some activities will be geared for juniors (8-10) and some specifically for seniors (11-13) to make it more rewarding for the camper.
