Allegheny County Rides Proud at 2016 State 4-H Horse Show

Over the weekend of October 28-30 members of the Allegheny County 4-H Horse clubs let their hooves be heard at the 2016 State 4-H Horse Show in Harrisburg. Competing this year were 14 members from the Northridge Riders and Manely Horses 4-H clubs; of the 14 participants six placed in the top 10 with two earning first place in their classes.

Congratulations to Sarah Mee for placing #1 in the Miniature Horse Driving (Ages 8-13)! Congratulations to Anastasia Pillar for placing #1 in the Walk Trot Equitation, Maximum Assistance!

A special recognition is also in order to the 14 total 4-H members who participated in the annual State Horse Show: Sydney Ford, Marissa Collins, Jessica Collins, Sarah Mee, Elizabeth Herald, Ann Messer, Katie Borgo, Amanda Becker, Sarah Riddle, Norah Carter, Loissa Yochum, Savanah Barkley, Susan Hicks, Anastasia Pillar.

Additional congratulations to our 4-H members for winning first place for in Overall Good Housekeeping; bringing the trophy to Allegheny County for the next year. As the Educator for the Allegheny County, I am proud of each rider, their families, and their club leaders whom aid us each day in our success as a County.
