Attention Adams County Dog Owners
Posted: October 30, 2015
Members will learn about caring for dogs, dog breeds, handling, the American Kennel Club (AKC), working dogs in society, and much more. Kids gain confidence, new friends, knowledge, skills and opportunities through the 4-H youth program.
There is potential for an eight week session of training classes for participants to learn to work with their dogs safely and to prepare for showing. Project animals can also be tested and certified as Canine Good Citizens. Participating dogs must have up to date vaccinations and must be able to be safely handled on a leash by children around strangers and other dogs.
Qualified instructors who would be interested in volunteering their time and expertise to teach obedience, handling, agility and/or rally obedience are also asked to respond. If you are interested in being a part of the 4-H dog program or becoming a dog club leader, contact Carolyn McGraw at 334-6271 ext. 323, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
