Adams County 4-H Dairy Team Travels to NAILE

Adams County 4-H Dairy Judging team had a very successful year. The team, Jocelyn Riser, Rachel Ulrich, and Hannah Riser, was named the overall high team at the 2013 PA State 4-H Achievement Days in August!

Adams County 4-H members Rachel Ulrich and Hannah Riser, joined by Emily Elsbree (Bradford County) & Emily Cooper (York County) were invited to represent Pennsylvania on the 4-H team for the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE)  in Louisville, KY. At NAILE, the team placed first in Ayrshires, 4th in Holsteins, 5th in Jerseys, and 3rd as the overall team. Individually, Rachel Ulrich placed 6th in Guernsey's, 6th in Holsteins, and 4th overall. The Penn State Extension 4-H team in Adams County would like to thank Zack Nell and Laura Elliot for coaching these excellent young people. We would also like to send our congratulations to Hannah, Rachel, and Jocelyn on their accomplishments this year, we are very proud of you!
