Welcome 2012 4-H Summer Assistants

Anna Gilbert, a former 4-H member, will be one of the 2012 4-H Summer Assistants in Adams County. Gilbert will be a junior at Immaculata University in the fall, majoring in Fashion Merchandising with product development and buying minors. Besides academics, Anna is also involved in field hockey, track and field, Outsiders Club and the IU Fashion Club. She was a member of the York Springs 4-H Club for eleven years, and for those eleven years, her main project was sewing. Throughout her sewing projects, she participated in Regional and State Fashion Revue. During the summer, Anna will be assisting with Adams Electric Bar-B-Que, Regional Fashion Revue, Sewing Day Camp, Safety Day Camp, Penn State 4-H Achievement Days, and 4-H Fair.
We are happy to welcome back this summer Samantha Robison. Samantha Robison graduated from Northern York High School in 2009, where she was involved with FFA and attended the National FFA Conference in Indianapolis, IN. Samantha is currently living in Dillsburg and is a junior at Penn State University majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Agronomy. She is presently serving as the Membership Secretary for Collegiate Farm Bureau, Treasurer for Collegiate Cattlewomen, and the Milk Bottle Chair for the Dairy Science Club. Samantha was recently offered the position to be an Ag-Advocate for the College of Agricultural Sciences. In this position she’ll be showing perspective students and their families around the college and will be representing Penn State and the College of Agricultural Sciences at events throughout the year including the Pennsylvania Farm Show. During the school year she researches dairy nutrition.
