4-H Fair is Around the Corner...Are You Ready??

4-H project registration will be from 12 noon- 8 p.m. on August 16, 2012, or from 8:30 -10:00 a.m. on August 18, 2012. 4-H members exhibiting cake projects will register on Tuesday, August 21, at 8:00 a.m.
On Tuesday, August 21, 4-H judging will begin with rabbits at 9:00 a.m., market lambs at 5:30 p.m. and hogs at 7:00 p.m. Market goat judging will be at 5:30 p.m. on August 22. Dairy beef and market steer judging will begin at 3:30 p.m. on August 23. Approximately 30 steers, 15 dairy beef, 20 goats, 30 lambs, and 30 hogs will be auctioned off during the Jr. Livestock Sale beginning at 4:00 p.m. on August 25.
4-H is one of the world’s oldest and largest youth organizations. It encourages youth development in the areas of science, technology, leadership, agriculture, mechanics, and public speaking. The 4-H Clubs of Adams County encourages the public to attend 4-H and South Mountain Fair to support the accomplishments of our local youth as well as to enjoy family fun.
