Adams County 4-H Horse Show

The 90 degree temperature didn’t stop nine Adams County 4-H Horsekateer members from participating in the county horse show on Saturday, July 16, at the Gettysburg Riding Club. Cailee & Jacob Bower, Brooke Cooper, Mary Dingle, Bridget Donnelly, MacKenzie Farley, Heidi Miller, Kaitlin Repp, and Luke Speelman braved the heat to show their skills in several areas including the clover leaf barrel race and a walk trot competition. A costume contest was also part of the day’s activities.
Of the nine participants, three will be advancing to the District Horse Show in Lebanon August 20: Bridget Donnelly in Open Trail Horse, Sr. and Western Grooming and Showmanship, Sr., Kaitlin Repp in Western Grooming and Showmanship, Jr., and Mary Dingle in Pole Bending Ponies, Clover Leaf Barrel Race Ponies, Raised Box Keyhole Ponies, and Open Trail Horse, Jr.
